Storm central here. I arrived home from California just in time to have missed the earthquake that rattled the northeast...
I am delighted to hear you and your family are safe. That storm dropped a lot of moisture for a very long time. I moved to a high rise condo in DC last year, and while that was *really* exciting in the earthquake, my husband and I were talking this morning about how both of us were so relieved not to be worried about the 1) roof 2) gutters 3) trees falling over onto either the house or power lines to the house 4) windows leaking 5 ) basement leaking 6) sump pump failure 7) studio flooding 8) cars being… Read more »

We live almost 200 miles from where Katrina hit and had no power for 5 days with HOT weather the whole time. Hurricanes can cause havoc.
