Fiber Boot Camp: Oh, the Possibilities

Attention all artists, art students, educators, and anyone who wants an overview of basic techniques in fiber. Learn the basics in spinning on a drop spindle, microwave dyeing with Kool-Aid, needle and wet felting, elemental plaiting, inkle loom weaving, speed tapestry weaving, and Japanese kumihimo braiding. All techniques are explained on a basic level. This is especially good for those who will be transferring these skills to their own students. Plenty of handouts, plenty of opportunities to explore fiber as an art form! NO EXPERIENCE IN FIBERS NECESSARY!
