OK, I won't throw out the cones. But there is such a ceremony for me in doing so, but I'll cave on this one and save them...

2 Comments from the husband:
1) I bought a present for Daryl and if I hadn't opened it I wouldn't have found that it was broken, now I can get it replaced before christmas
2) Daryl did retrieve the plastic cones from the recycling, but I could see that it pained her...

We've got to have a stash of yarn! You're right, weavers use alot of yarn! Real weavers have alot of yarn. I've inherited alot as well. When my time comes, I'll pass mine along to a weaver that'll appreciate it as much as I have.
About the empty cones. Don't toss them. Once a year, I box them up and take them to an elementary school. They use them for art classes. They can become trees, angels, santas, witches, etc depending on the time of year. I am a production weaver so I end up with quite a few. Even if you have just a few, kids love them.
